I've been experimenting with the excellent free video editing software Virtualdub. There are so many filters you can add to the program that just about anything is possible.
This is a clip of a feeding Cabbage White butterfly by Lee Valley river on Friday. I had the camera about 1cm from the butterfly's eye, and the wind was blowing the thistle around so I used the Deshaker filter to stabilise the butterfly. Magic!
The first half is "raw" then the filter is applied for the second half. If you've got any shaky vids that need stabilising, let me know!
