The Complete Grade Arithmetic by Dr. William Davis, BA. Published in 1888 in London by Simpkin, Marshall & Co; Hamilton, Adams and Co.
"Upwards of 8000 Examples in Elementary Rules."
The real charm of this book for me lies in the questions. Eg. "The sun is 95 millions of miles off. How many yards?" and "What sum of money will produce as much interest in 9 months as £580 10s will in 2 and a half years? "
Condition: I'm no expert so I won't try to give a technical description. It seems in good condition to me, though I suppose it should be descibed as "fair" because the corners are "scuffed" on the front and back covers and the green has been rubbed away on the corners to show the card underneath. I can't find any faults inside; the pages are all firmly fixed, the spine in strong and shows no weaknesses.
Any problems and I'll happily take it back so you can bid without risk.
Any questions, I'll try to answer.
This is a real little treasure of a book. Good luck!
